Into the Wild this October

Into the wild this October?  Why not?

This fall, Tasimba once again offers our unique safari experience that transcends traditional journeys into the African wild. It’s an opportunity to immerse yourself in a vast pristine wilderness, to engage deeply with its vibrant nature and wildlife, and to embark on a personal journey of inspiration and self-discovery.

Wilderness is not a luxury but a necessity of the human spirit, and as vital to our lives as water and good bread.

– Edward Abbey

Here’s why a Tasimba safari in October is not just a trip, but a transformative adventure.

Transitional season

October is the last month of the long dry season. Nature and all her creatures are waiting for the rains. The sun is almost directly overhead, the ground is parched and the waterholes are crowded, particularly by literally hundreds of elephants and buffalo.

The weather tantalizes with towering cumulus cloud build-ups – and it frustrates when they dissipate with the sunset.

An air of expectancy is everywhere, especially among the simultaneously pregnant impala ewes and wildebeest cows. They are waiting for the fresh green grass shoots that will nourish their newborn lambs and calves in a few weeks’ time.

Exclusive Immersion

Tasimba makes this extraordinary game-viewing experience even more special by providing our guests with exclusive occupancy of Linkwasha.  Our luxurious camp is nestled in the heart of this prolific private wilderness. This exclusivity ensures an intimate and deeply immersive connection with nature, and the undisturbed opportunity to feel ourselves come alive with a whole new perspective on life.

A Personal Journey

Tasimba is more than a safari; it’s a personal journey of transformation. With the space and sky of the wilderness as your backdrop, you’ll explore life lessons mirrored in the natural world, under the expert leadership of Africa’s most highly qualified Wildlife Guides and our experienced hosts. Our unique ‘Indabas’ – deep, reflective conversations held under the ancient African skies, are themed to inspire and challenge you. These discussions out in the bush stimulate a deeper self-discovery of the transcendent potential you have to make impact in your own life.

Culture and Conservation

Before you even leave home, you learn the unique African Clan name of your small group. From the moment you land in the wilderness and every day that follows, the rich tapestry of local culture is woven seamlessly throughout your Tasimba safari. Through a full day spent in a nearby rural community, and through interaction with visiting experts in camp, you’ll gain insights into the challenges and triumphs of conservation efforts in Africa.

These experts, supported on every safari by our two incredible guides, bring unparalleled knowledge and passion, ensuring that every game drive, walk, and conversation adds to a profound understanding of Africa’s ecosystems and conservation.

A Call to the Wild

Our October 2024 Tasimba safari is an invitation to connect you deeply with Africa’s wild heart. It is curated to inspire you to grow as an individual, and to contribute meaningfully to the conservation of all of the planet’s extraordinary wildernesses. It’s your opportunity to live a week of unparalleled experiences that will stay with you for a lifetime.

Answer your call to the wild. Join us this October for a safari that goes beyond the ordinary, into the heart of what it means to truly experience Africa.

The wild places are where we began. When they end, so do we.”

– David R. Brower
