Gratitude: The Heartbeat of Tasimba

 As another year draws to a close, our hearts are full. Every Tasimba safari leaves us humbled and inspired by the joy, awe, and discovery that our guests always experience. Some groups arrive as strangers, others as family or friends. Yet within days, new bonds have formed, whether through laughter around the fire, shared wonder at watching cheetah cubs play, or quiet moments under the endless African sky. By the week’s end when our Clan members part, they are deeply bonded by memories that will last a lifetime. 

For us, leading Tasimba is far more than a privilege. It is a profound gift. Every safari reminds us why we do what we do. To see our guests’ eyes light up when we sit in our 4X4 vehicles within a few feet of a pride of lions, or when they watch the interactions of an elephant family at the waterhole… those moments reaffirm everything Tasimba stands for: deep connection to nature, to the environment and to ourselves. 

We are endlessly grateful to every guest who has ever joined us. Your openness, curiosity and your shared reflections have enriched each safari beyond measure. You have constantly reminded us that when we share our experiences together in this wilderness, it is far greater than our own individual experience, as it becomes etched even deeper in our soul. 

Looking ahead to 2026, our Farewell Season, we carry this gratitude ever deeper. We’ve always appreciated great feedback from every Clan member who has shared it with us. Very cheekily, when we have been asked, “What was the best Tasimba safari ever?”, we have always replied the same way: “The last one!” That’s because we have always sought to learn, to improve, to tweak, in order to further enrich our guests’ experience.   

We are determined that every remaining safari will be as extraordinary, as inspiring, and as life-affirming as any we have ever led. This is our promise: to continue giving our guests the most immersive, meaningful, joyful and unique safari experience in Africa. 

To all our past and future guests, to our incredible guides, camp teams, and partners, and to everyone who shares our love for Africa, thank you from the bottom of our hearts. You are part of the Tasimba family, and your presence keeps the spirit of this wilderness alive in us all.  

There’s a huge part in both of us that wants Tasimba to never end.  But there comes a time in life when we need to move on.  And when we walk away, it will be with a feeling of deep fulfillment.   

So, as we look forward to the year ahead, we do so with full hearts, renewed purpose, and deep gratitude for the privilege of sharing this beautiful journey with you. And a determination to go out in great style!
