Here we go again! Back to Africa!
It’s that exciting time when anticipation is absolutely electrifying eight lucky people. They are the guests on our Tasimba Signature safari starting in just a couple of weeks. Their flights are booked, they have everything they need for the trip, and they’re about to embark on a journey they will never forget.
All that’s left for them to do now is to count the days! (Spoiler alert: it’s 17.)
While we have bombarded them with all the information, we think they need about our safari, like all our first-time Tasimba guests they really have no idea of the wonderful surprises and experiences that are in store for them every single day.
From the minute they land at the Linkwasha airstrip in Hwange National Park, Zimbabwe, until they take off again, this week in the wild will inspire them, amaze them, thrill them and impact them in ways they have never imagined.
The Magic of Africa
For us, it will feel like we are coming ‘back home’ to this stunning wilderness where we have been proud to bring so many Tasimba guests before. We’ll watch with a smile as the sights and sounds of the bush captivate our new guests, heart and soul. (We know when to let the magic of Africa do its thing.)
There’s nothing we could have said before the trip to prepare our guests for their breathtaking first encounter with the huge numbers of our beloved elephants. They will be mesmerized – and this is just Day 1. The feeling of some deep emotional bond between us and these intelligent gentle giants will grow ever deeper as the week goes on. Our guests will remember many things about this week, but it’s a safe bet that elephants will be high on that list.
Surprises
Every day will bring wonderful surprises, some of them planned by us, most of them provided by the animals, birds and insects who own this space on earth that we are privileged to visit. No matter how many times you go on safari, no two days are ever the same. There’s always the anticipation and excitement of not knowing what you will next discover as Mother Nature reveals incredible wonders of this delightfully private space.
And every day, surrounded by prolific wildlife and the profound wisdom of nature in this vast, unspoiled wilderness, we and our guests will appreciate more and more the professionalism and the encyclopedic knowledge of our Pro Guides, Africa’s most highly qualified.
Inspiration
Add to this mix, inspiring visits with Dr. Moreangels Mbizah, an expert in human/animal conflict; a tour of the Headman’s Homestead to learn about life in a rural village; a half day of lively engagement with local primary school children and a visit to an anti-poaching unit. And that’s not all! Our Guests will learn about African cultures and traditions and participate in some engaging activities as well.
Just when you think each day cannot get any better, a glorious sunset will fade to a night sky full of a billion stars. Who wouldn’t want to dine under this velvety cloak of darkness while nearby, creatures big and small make their way to the waterhole in front of camp, to drink.
Let’s be honest. It’s not just our guests who are looking forward to this Tasimba safari. We’re every bit as excited as they are!
