Whatever 2021 has been, it’s been way better than 2020! Our monthly “Where the Eles Are” newsletters tell the story of a year in which we never lost hope for getting back to Africa with our Tasimba guests.
In January, we talked about Optimism. And we can safely say that right now we have even more optimism for operating in ‘a new normal’ than we did back then!
June found us writing about Resilience that we’ve all needed so much of in Covid, and how much we can learn about instinctive resilience that we see every day in wildlife.
By September, we revealed our abiding passion for our Purpose: to inspire people’s hearts and minds through deep immersion in the wilderness and nature.
And here we are now, sharing our Excitement for our 2022 Tasimba Safari trips, inspired by the boundless enthusiasm and joy of all the people who so warmly welcomed us back to Zimbabwe a month ago. They, and we, can’t wait for us to return again in a few months.
Despite the news of the latest variant, travel to and from southern Africa is actually open to US passport holders. Be reassured that over 80% of the people in Victoria Falls are vaccinated as are 100% of the staff in the four safari camps where we will bring our guests in 2022 and 2023.
May 2022 be a year of safe, exciting adventures and unforgettable experiences for you and all our guests. And, as we have learned so often over the past two years, there is deep truth in the meaning of our Shona name Tasimba: Together we are strong!
