Wine, Cheese and Painted Wolves
A heavy rainstorm certainly did not dampen the fun at our third annual Wine & Cheese event, held on January 16th in San Francisco. We were delighted to welcome back Clan members from all 4 previous Tasimba Safari Experiences and to meet many new people interested in knowing what makes Tasimba so different from typical safaris. Thank you to all who joined us!
While enjoying the wine and cheese, guests viewed displays of great photos all taken on our safaris and an exciting new ‘Tasimba Experience’ slide show and video. They also had engaging conversations with Clan members who enthusiastically shared their own wonderful Tasimba safari experiences. In his presentation, Founder Hugh Coppen, told guests:
Tasimba is an amazing, exclusive, deep immersion into Africa’ssoul that you will never forget.
Listening to the Clan testimonials – you’d have to agree!

“Dynasties” – a new must see
Did you watch the first episodes of the new David Attenborough BBC series “Dynasties”? It started on BBC America on Saturday, January 19. There are five wonderful episodes, each telling a story of families in five of the most threatened species in nature: lions, chimpanzees, emperor penguins, painted wolves and tigers.

Don’t miss this series – especially the deeply touching Episode 4 (February 9th) about painted wolves in Zimbabwe’s Zambezi valley.
Painted Wolves live in one of Africa’s most tightly bonded family groups. Our Kukura Clan guests on the recent November 2018 Tasimba Safari Experience had the unique pleasure of seeing these amazing animals just behind our home camp, Linkwasha!
These fascinating Painted Wolves and 100 other animal species plus over 400 bird species await you!
