If all we did on a Tasimba safari was to share with you the prolific wildlife of our private wilderness, you’d find it amazing and unforgettable.  But we add so much more to make it a truly inspiring experience.

One way we do that is to bring world-class ‘Keystone Experts’ into camp for two days to give you a uniquely, deep immersion into Africa.  Our Keystone Experts who have inspired Tasimba guests on previous safaris include:

• Garth Thompson, for years perhaps Africa’s highest regarded wildlife guide and expert; and

For our May 2019 safari we proudly welcome another superbly qualified Keystone Expert, Ian McCallum.  Ian is one of the most extraordinarily qualified and passionate voices for the sustainability of our planet. 

He is a doctor, psychiatrist, author, poet and specialized wilderness guide. And, as if that’s not enough, he played rugby for his country too!  In order to learn more about the critical interactions of nature and humans, a few years ago he walked, cycled and paddled across 5,000 km of Africa, coast to coast. He will truly inspire our May Tasimba guests.
